Found December 12, 2012 on Pro Sports Daily:
For future Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Randy Moss, his return to the NFL after a year away has been largely a good experience despite the fact that he's not a primary target on a team that hasn't thrown the ball much. Through 13 games, Moss has 21 catches for 326 yards and a pair of scores. On Sunday, he'll return to Foxborough, Mass., to play against a coach, Bill Belichick, who had a hand in molding him into one of the all-time greats. "I've learned a lot from Bill Belichick," Moss said. "I've said time and time again, before I got to New England, I thought I knew a lot about football. But I think he taught me a lot from A to Z. I still carry it to this day." At 35 years old, Moss isn't the player who caught 50 touchdown passes in 52 regular-season games with the Patriots, but Belichick doesn't necessarily see it that way. "I think Randy looks like Randy," Belichick said. "He's the greatest deep-ball receive...

Bill Belichick chimes in on the 49ers quarterback situation

Bill Belichick’s career changed when he decided to go with Tom Brady over Drew Bledsoe, so he can understands the process Jim Harbaugh is going through with his quarterback conundrum. As their teams prepare to meet Sunday night, Belichick knows exactly what he has in his signal caller; Harbaugh is still trying to figure out what’s the right type of offense for Kaepernick, it’s...

49ers receiver Randy Moss praises Kaepernick and Belichick

Wide Receiver Randy Moss is a veteran’s veteran.  He is also a student of the game of football. I would dare to say that upon his retirement as a player, it would not be a shock to watch Moss rise through the coaching ranks to become an eventual offensive coordinator. Moss recently sat down  and discussed his feelings about the rise of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and...

Five Reasons The San Francisco 49ers Will Choke In NFL Playoffs

The San Francisco 49ers have been darlings of the NFC since they benched started Alex Smith in favor of second-year passer Colin Kaepernick. Despite a loss to St Louis, Kaepenick has looked strong both passing and running the ball and has inspired the 49ers' offense. And of course the defense is just as good, if not better, as last year. For a team that just barely missed going...

49′ers suspend RB Brandon Jacobs for final 3 games of the season

I don’t know how well Running Back Brandon Jacobs escape from New York has worked out for him. The San Francisco 49ers suspended him Monday for the last three games of the season behind Tweets he posted on the topic of his lack of playing time, including one over the weekend saying he was ”on this [...]

Report: Brandon Jacobs was trying to get released by the 49ers, regrets leaving the Giants

A close friend of running back Brandon Jacobs told the New York Daily News that he was trying to get released by the 49ers in hopes of re-signing with the Giants. Brandon Jacobs realized very early this season that “he never should’ve left the Giants,” according to one of his friends. And he was hoping, the source said, that after his Instagram rant about “rotting away...

Preview: 49ers vs Patriots

It’s been two weeks since the San Francisco 49ers officially went with quarterback Colin Kaepernick as their full-time starter over Alex Smith. Since then, the team is 1-1 and Kaepernick has received mixed reviews. Despite more pure talent than Smith and a bigger arm, the offense hasn’t been as explosive as it initially was when he took over several weeks ago, and the hype has...

49ers place Dobbs on IR

Defensive tackle Demarcus Dobbs was placed on the injured reserve list by the San Francisco 49ers, the team announced Tuesday. Dobbs has seven tackles in 12 games this season.

Vote: Would You Rather See Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith Starting Against the Patriots on Sunday Night?

Quarterback controversies can often be a death sentence for a potential playoff team. Just take a quick glance at the current state of the Jets for a prime example. But what the 49ers have out in San Francisco is exactly what any contender dreams of. Coming into this season, Alex Smith was viewed as a quarterback finally on the rise. He led — and I use that term lightly, because...

Frank Gore wears anti-Miami Dolphins sweatshirt after victory (Video)

Over the weekend, the San Francisco 49ers improved their record to 9-3-1 with a 27-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins. 49ers running back Frank Gore accounted for 64 yards and a touchdown in the win but Frank's play on the field might have been overshadowed by his choice of wardrobe after the game. Check out this picture of Gore wearing a "dead Miami Dolphins logo...

Moss learned football 'A to Z' from Belichick

Randy Moss joined the New England Patriots five years ago thinking he knew a lot about football. Then, he began playing for Bill Belichick. Moss' mindset regarding his own football knowledge changed in a hurry. Only then did he learn the intricacies of his sport from ''A to Z,'' as the 49ers wide receiver now puts it.

Niners need offense to keep pace with Pats

Stoically stone-faced and tight-lipped as is his style, Colin Kaepernick showed little emotion and gave concise answers Wednesday regarding the 49ers’ impending showdown with the New England Patriots. Kaepernick will have a lot more to say with his play when he gets on the field Sunday, and how San Francisco’s starting QB and the offense he directs performs that night could determine...

Brady, like Kaepernick, once replaced injured QB

Tom Brady was in a similar position 11 years ago to the spot Colin Kaepernick is in now. Both were second-year quarterbacks replacing successful veterans. On Sunday night, Brady leads the New England Patriots against Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers in a matchup of division leaders. The Patriots (10-3) have clinched the AFC East title, while the 49ers (9-3-1) can lock up the...

Patriots offense has 49ers looking for answers

When the San Francisco 49ers travels to New England this weekend, linebacker Aldon Smith's pursuit of the NFL single-season sack record will take a backseat as the team is worried about slowing down Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Some are more worried than others. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio didn't hold back in his compliments of the Patriots offense. "They...
