Chad Ochocinco was supposed to resurrect his career in New England in the same fashion as Randy Moss and Corey Dillion.
What we found was that Ochocinco had plenty of personality left, but no talent. We remember hearing on the radio when he was traded, that because of the fondness he and Bill Belichick shared for one another, Bill would be able to squeeze what talent was left in Ochconco.
Belichick is a head coach, not a miracle worker, and a miracle is what it would have taken to get Ocho to take his job seriously.
We were at training camp when Ocho broke out the golden cleats. Although he walked like his feet hurt in them, we waited for Chad Johnson to flash, but all we got was Ocho.
If you wanted to see Ocho in action, Basketball wives was the place to see it. The way he handles Evelyn Lozada, no wonder he couldn't figure out the Patriots offense. Offenses and women are very similar, if you don't follow the plan, you're screwed.
It was apparent early that Ocho ...

Chad Ochocinco was released by the Patriots on Thursday after an unsuccessful season with the team. The primary reason for his release is that he never could pick up the Patriots’ offense. Or, as Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe put it, Ochocinco lacked “football IQ.”
Bedard’s report states:
According to multiple sources, he just doesn’t have the football I.Q. that he appeared...
It sounds like the Patriots and Rob Gronkowski have done some reworking of the tight end's contract, but it's still unknown what that means exactly. There are various reports that have surfaced, but ProFootballTalk.com reports that the Patriots and Gronkowski have reworked the third-year tight end's contract. According to that report, the two sides have come to an agreement...
According to CBSSports’ Jason La Canfora, the Cowboys are not interested in Chad Ochocinco, who was released by the Patriots earlier this week. The Cowboys seemed like a potential destination as they need a 3rd receiver and because they’ve taken chances on frustrating players like Ochocinco in the past. The Cowboys reportedly did their homework on both Chad Ochocinco and, believe...
Chad Ochocinco was released from the Patriots, and it sparks the question, is his career over?
Granted the New England Patriot system is notoriously one of the most difficult systems in the league according to present (and past) players. Perhaps Ochocinco simply could not adapt to Bill Belichick’s game plan.
It is more likely that he could not compete with the ten other wide...
Veteran wide receiver Chad Ochocinco will work out for the Miami Dolphins next week and is excited about a possible return to his roots, CBS Sports reported Saturday, citing a source.
The New England Patriots announced on Thursday that they had released the South Florida native after one season.
The 2011 campaign saw career lows for the six-time Pro Bowler, with just 15 receptions...
As unprecedented as it is for a player to get a new contract after 2 years in the league with 2 years left on his rookie deal, I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski has caught 132 passes for 1873 yards and 27 touchdowns in his first 2 years in the league, including 90 for 1327 yards and 17 touchdowns last year, and is also the league’s best blocking...
The New England Patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski agreed on a six-year, $54 million extension, making him the highest paid tight end in NFL History.
Gronk was a dominant force on the field and thus Fantasy Football in 2011. His 17 TDs led the entire league. Hell likely be a Top 15 pick in Fantasy Drafts this summer.
Jermaine Gresham is seeing dollar signs after the contract signed by Rob Gronkowski.
On Friday, the NFL world learned that New England Patriots tight end, Rob Gronkowski, signed a mega-extension with the club. The Patriots were extremely generous with Gronkowski, as they inked him to a six-year $54 million extension, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history. Though...
If Chad Ochocinco could get his wish, he reportedly would continue his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins. After the wide receiver was waived this past week by the New England Patriots, he’s in the market for a new employer and the south Florida native is hoping that could be the Dolphins, souces told CBSSports.com. Ochocinco indicated via Twitter on Friday that there’s interest...
It's being reported that the New England Patriots have signed TE Rob Gronkowski to a new 6 year $54 million contract extension. No word yet on the breakdown of the deal for the record setting tight end.

After taking a paycut to remain in Denver, former Patriots first round pick Ty Warren says he'd take Peyton Manning over Tom Brady. What else should he say now that Manning is his teammate?
