Jeremy Lane was hit on the sideline by a member of the 49ers staff or team during the middle of a kick return in last night’s NFC Championship game. The officials did not see the incident at the time, but rest assured that it will not go unnoticed by the NFL. Adam Schefter tweeted earlier today that they are looking into the matter: NFL will review play in which Seattle’s Jeremy Lane collided with a member of 49ers’ sideline Sunday and determine if discipline necessary. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 20, 2014 You can see the incident here:   Lane responded to a fan’s question on Twitter by replying he did not know who it was that hit him: “@Hawksfan22: @StayingInMyLane Did you ever figure out who blind sided you Jeremy? lol” nope — jeremy lane (@StayingInMyLane) January 20, 2014 The league fined Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin $100,000 for stepping onto the field during a Jacoby Jones return last month. Whoever the individual is that hit Lane, he’d better brace his check book because this one is going to hurt. If the Seahawks were characters in Game of Thrones, who would they be?
