Michael Vick will be the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles when they hit the road for a Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints in a must win game for both teams. But it may turn out to be more than a must win game, as it may also be a must win performance from Vick if he plans to keep his starting quarterback job past this game.
If the Eagles lose, Vick may wind up benched.
Even if they win, he had better hope that he plays one hell of a game.
Eagles’ head coach Andy Reid has gone back and forth with this decision. He knows that his job is also on the line, only he is not guaranteed the same amount of money as Vick is if he is replaced. Reid needs to win, and still believes that Vick gives him the best chance at picking up a much needed victory against the disappointing Saints on Monday night.
It just can no longer be said that he strongly believes it to be true. His faith in Vick appears to seemingly wane more and more with each passing week.

Michael Vick told reporters that he plans on getting “back to being the old Michael Vick.“
“I’ve got to play the game and leave it all out on the field and play aggressive and shoot it and run the ball when I feel there is a need to,” said Vick, via Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly. “If I get a seam, get a crack, take it. Just do what I’ve been born to do, blessed to do...
If there is anyone who can relate to the struggles Michael Vick is going through and the pressure he is under while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s Donovan McNabb. The Philadelphia media had its way with McNabb for years and there were times when the fans were worse. During an appearance on “NFL AM” Tuesday morning, McNabb defended Vick in the wake of reports that...

There was a time not too long ago when having Mike Vick, Tony Romo or Mark Sanchez as your quarterback was considered living well in the NFL. Now it is like the sports version of marry, boff, kill.
If you had to choose one to build your franchise around, one to win a single game and death is not an option (neither is abstaining) whom do you go with?
Be careful with quick answers...
Job security in the NFL is nonexistent for just about anyone. The turnover at every position from the front office to the field is proof enough of that.
Sometimes, however, the heat gets kicked up a few degrees, and for a pair of NFC East teams, things are getting real hot.
Both the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles have undereachieved this season, and...
After starting the season 3-1, the Philadelphia Eagles have lost three consecutive games, and the team is reeling.During the bye week, head coach Andy Reid (whose job security is as shaky as ever) fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, hoping to spur a change in a defense that has struggled this year. But it didn’t seem to make much of a difference in the team’s most recent...

The Philadelphia Eagles have a quarterback and a coach both likely playing for their jobs. The New Orleans Saints are off to their worst start in the Drew Brees era following the best regular season in franchise history.
Arguably the league's two most desperate teams entering Week 9, either the Eagles or the Saints will be in even worse shape after Monday night's game in...
We've learned a lot over the first 8 weeks. Some items have been great - some not so great. Here are some of the tidbits we've learned along the way:
If Roddy White has a big game, Julio Jones will struggle (and vice versa).
Cam Newton. Matt Stafford, and Michael Vick have not played up to our draft expectations but that should change this week.
DeAngelo Williams and...
