San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson isnt' mad about his situation and is doing what he thinks is best - working hard and being prepared. He has yet to sign his tender and has until July 16th to do so. After that, he cannot negotiate a multi-year deal until after the regular-season.
The 49ers and the safety are reportedly only $1 million apart in negotiations for a yearly salary, with the team offering $7 million and the safety wanting $8 million. Doesn't seem like a lot to work out between them in a week. Goldson’s agents and the 49ers and have been in constant contact about getting a deal done, so that's a good sign.
Goldson was on with Randy Cross and Alex Marvez of SiriusXM NFL Radio and said “I’m hoping something long-term will happen."
