Contract extension talks between the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo are heating up again for the main reason being the salary cap. Jerry Jones and the front office of the Cowboys have dug themselves a hole where releasing players leads to more cap hits than cap savings. And the only thing the Cowboys can do is extend players, restructure contracts, etc. in order to free up space.
