Packers RCB Sam Shields (ankle) has suffered a setback, and will be sidelined a “couple of weeks.” Shields was originally knocked out with a shin injury, but is apparently dealing with an ankle ailment. He hasn’t played since Week 6. Rookie Casey Hayward has acquitted himself well in Shields’ absence.
Hayward has 5 interceptions on the season, to include a forced fumble. He is a very sure tackler as well, recording 37 tackles already. Hayward has only been forced to start a few times this year, but he has been doing a terrific job.
