The news yesterday from Patriots practice was that TE Rob Gronkowski wouldn’t participate. Given his injured ankle (that shouldn’t stop him from playing in Super Bowl XLVI) that wasn’t a shock. As for today? No surprises, either. Gronk wasn’t present, resting that wounded wheel until, at least, the team arrives in Indianapolis. The rest of the team, however, was in good shape. Still, the one interesting thing for me was that the team was in full pads. They haven’t been in full pads a ton this year, but they are today. The Giants are a physical team, and they do pound it. Maybe that’s why. Either way, after a few days off, the team threw itself back into it. Biggest thing after this is how OT Sebastian Vollmer reacts. If its good, he could play next Sunday.
