The New England Patriots lost three players Sunday,
including wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, during their loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Lloyd’s shoulder injury isn’t expected to be serious, reports Jeff Howe of the
Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd left late, but it didn’t appear to be anything
concerning. That will need to be monitored going forward. Lloyd had gotten
dinged up a couple times earlier this season but returned.
Lloyd hurt his shoulder while diving for a pass on the
Patriots’ final drive and ultimately exited the game. He wasn’t able to return,
but the injury isn’t expected to be serious.
New England also lost special teams captain Matthew Slater
as well as safety Patrick Chung. While Chung’s shoulder injury doesn’t appear
to be significant, Slater limped off the field badly following his ankle
injury, which Lowe notes is never a good sign.
