I’m sure Seahawks fans and fantasy owners have their hopes up to see Seattle’s huge off-season acquisition return to the field this Monday, but such will not be the case.

Seahawks’ head coach Pete Carroll said Saturday that Percy Harvin will not play Monday in St. Louis. His status remains day-to-day. Carroll made it clear earlier in the week that he had no intentions of rushing Harvin back out there. He stated that he’d like to ensure that Harvin can prove in practice that he’s 100 percent so that there’s no unnecessary risk of re-injury.
Seattle will need Harvin back eventually, as they don’t have any huge weapons at wide out. The ‘Hawks have done just fine without him, and given that they’ll face a St. Louis team who just lost their franchise quarterback for the year, it doesn’t make sense for Seattle to rush him in just yet.
The return of Harvin is vastly approaching. We’ll keep you updated.
