Adrian Peterson has overcome painful injuries in the past 15 months, now he's feeling the pain again.
Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings MVP running back, felt like he took his latest shots Monday after Minnesota reportedly traded receiver Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks for three draft picks, including the No. 25 overall pick this season.
Losing the teams' top receiving threat hit Peterson hard.
"The best all around player I ever seen or you'll ever see! Goes to Seattle!," Peterson wrote Monday on his Twitter account (@AdrianPeterson). "I feel like I just got kicked in the stomach. Several times!!!"
Peterson, who overcame major knee surgery and then played through a sports hernia to win the MVP award last season with 2,097 rushing yards, did most of his damage last year while Harvin was on injured reserve with an ankle injury. But Minnesota's top offensive player is certainly sad to see the Vikings' other top offensive playmaker on his way to Seattle.
