EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings are in the most important stretch of their season and are now dealing with several injuries that could linger into the week. Minnesota coach Leslie Frazier said Monday that running back Adrian Peterson, who leads the league with 1,236 rushing yards, suffered a shoulder strain in Sunday's game. Meanwhile, tight end Kyle Rudolph and rookie safety Harrison Smith are dealing with concussion symptoms and will have to clear league-mandated testing before returning. Frazier didn't sound too worried about Peterson's injury. The four-time Pro Bowl selection finished Sunday's game, his fifth straight with more than 100 rushing yards, with 18 carries for 108 yards. "We'll have to monitor his progress over the course of the week," Frazier said. "It shouldn't be a problem as far as getting ready for (next Sunday's) ballgame. Frazier didn't have any update on the badly sprained ankle of injured receiver Percy Harvin, who leads the team with 62 catches and 677 receiving yards. Harvin has missed two games since suffering the injury Nov. 4, and Frazier isn't sure if Harvin will able to return to practice this week. "I'll learn more as he goes through some of the things that Eric Sugarman and the rest of our training staff take him through," Frazier said. Harvin and the team were hopeful he would return for Sunday's game, a 28-10 loss at Chicago, but he couldn't put any weight on the ankle, which is sprained in three places, while testing it Friday. Right tackle Phil Loadholt has knee inflammation from Sunday's game, but Frazier expects he will be ready to play next week. Frazier said starting middle linebacker Jasper Brinkley suffered an AC sprain, though he finished Sunday's game. "He'll be a little bit sore when we get back on Wednesday," Frazier said of Brinkley.
