[Photo: Allan Henry-US PRESSWIRE] If last Sunday’s game versus Minnesota Vikings didn’t show anything good, it showed the bad and that is the Philadelphia Eagles secondary. The secondary got torched by quarterback Matt Cassel and the Vikings wide receivers. Also in that game, two Eagles safeties Kurt Coleman and Colt Anderson got injured and that left them really thin at the position. With that being said, the Philadelphia Eagles promoted safety Keelan Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster. Johnson has been with the Eagles since September and was with the Miami Dolphins in training camp. To make room for Johnson, the Eagles released linebacker Emmanuel Acho. Johnson is a 6-foot, 209 pound strong safety out of Arizona State. With Johnson currently now on the roster, the Eagles are really reaching for straws. All signs seem to point to rookie safety Earl Wolff possibly playing on Sunday night versus the Chicago Bears. Wolff practiced today so that is a good sign. According CSNPhilly.com’s Reuben Frank, Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis says that Wolff is day-to-day. Finally, in other injury news involving the secondary, cornerback Brandon Boykin suffered a concussion in last Sunday’s game and still has to go through the league’s protocol to be able to play on Sunday night.
