Philadelphia, Pa – The Philadelphia Eagles signed WR Mardy Gilyard since it looks most likely that WR Jeremy Maclin will not be available on Sunday against the Ravens. Maclin suffered a hip pointer in win over the Browns. By signing Gilyard had let go of safety Jarrett.

Gilyard was with Eagles in the presason but was cut before the season started. He was a 4th round pick of the Rams in 2010. By signing a young player like Gilyard that was with the team, there is good chance he will get meaningful playtime.  The Eagles have been hit by the injury bug at the wide out position this year since the team lost Riley Cooper in July to broken collar bone.  Early it was siad he would miss 6-weeks, which he could return in the next week or two. So in the meantime the Eagles will have to make due.

As for Jarrett is was a surprise to find him on the 53-man roster to start the season after he played poor in the pre-season. He was a second round in 2011. His sub-par play on Sunday in the Browns game was the final straw.
