The Buffalo Bills' season finale against the New York Jets on Sunday has predictably not sold out, and will be blacked out on local television.
The team announced there were more than 13,000 tickets available. The Bills (5-10) and Jets (6-9) are out of playoff contention.
This is the fourth time this season the Bills have failed to sell out a home game, but only the second that will be blacked out.
A local restaurateur purchased the remaining tickets for Buffalo's game against St. Louis on Dec. 9 to guarantee it will be on TV. The Bills ''home'' game against Seattle in Toronto two weeks ago also did not sell out. The game was televised under the five-year deal Toronto-based Rogers Communications reached with the Bills host the games.

For some reason many people were surprised at Rex Ryan announcing that Mark Sanchez is going to be the New York Jets starting quarterback this Sunday in Buffalo. At this point, nothing related to the Jets quarterback situation should surprise anybody. Greg McElroy has a concussion? Maybe. He was sacked 11 times on Sunday. It is understandable if he held off telling the coaching staff...
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS
Bills defensive lineman Mario Williams has donated a truck to Marine veterans Sgt. Justin Hunter and his wife, Staff Sgt. Cherie Hunter, through a nonprofit group.
The Jets are going back to Sanchez instead of giving Tebow a chance.
Entering the last week of the season I'm sitting at 153-87. That's ok but not great. I'd like to be over 170 for the season, but it is what it is at this point. Let's finish strong.
With teams resting players and teams out, I'll also take a look at the postseason and offseason...
Tim Tebow will do this. Tim Tebow won’t do that.
If the Jets felt as if they could squash the Tebow talk by keeping him off the field, they were wrong because slighting the kid made his hype worse than it has ever been.
On Wednesday, Tebow gave the members of the media his version of the truth and nothing but the truth.

New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow admits he expressed frustration to head coach Rex Ryan over constantly having to run up the middle in the Wildcat. Tebow told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News that the backlash affected his holiday. “You work your whole life to build a reputation,“ Tebow said. “Then people try to bring you down when they don’t understand even...

Following the report that Greg McElroy was suffering from concussion-like symptoms during the week, Mark Sanchez is back as the Jets’ starter, at least for the final game of the regular season. Sanchez had been demoted before the Jets’ game last week vs. San Diego, a 27-14 loss. McElroy...
TIM TEBOW = FREDO CORLEONE
Jets head coach Rex Ryan announced that Mark Sanchez will replace the injured Greg McElroy on Sunday, meaning Tim Tebow once again has been passed over.
Greg McElroy has a concussion and will be replaced by Mark Sanchez as the New York Jets' starting quarterback in the season finale at Buffalo on Sunday.
Coach Rex Ryan says Thursday that McElroy, preparing to make his second NFL start in place of the benched Sanchez, was lifting weights and had headaches. He went to the team's training staff and then revealed he was suffering...
What better way for the New York Jets to end their season than to start the quarterback who was once the starter, then got benched, then started again, then got benched again and is now preparing to be under center to close out the year. Greg McElroy is still suffering from concussion-like symptoms, which means Mark Sanchez is starting against the Buffalo Bills this weekend.
After their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, one of the most hectic and disappointing seasons in recent New York Jets history will finally come to a close. The team is expected to have a new look next season, with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow both likely heading elsewhere. Some have even speculated that Rex Ryan won’t be far behind, but it seems unlikely that Jets owner...
Coming off consecutive seasons curtailed by Achilles heel injuries, LaRon Landry's NFL career appeared to be in serious jeopardy. Following a stellar and healthy 2012 campaign with the Jets, Landry has officially ascended to All-Star status.
The Jets look to finish the 2012 on a positive note with a road victory against the Buffalo Bills. The offensive line is looking to rebound after coming one shy of tying the NFL record for sacks given up in a single game, in which quarterback Greg McElroy paid for the price. He will not play due to a concussion and an abdomen injury. Mark Sanchez will return to the top of the quarterback...
Florham Park, NJ - With failure comes change.Last season Brian Schottenheimer was exiled as the sacrificial lamb for the offensive failures of this team. The firing was completely justified, but clearly he wasn't the only problem with this offense. After two straight AFC Championship game appearances, two straight years of missing the playoffs can't be acceptable. Woody...
