NFL Injury Report:
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco set himself up
nicely entering the offseason, leading his team to a Super Bowl victory before
he’s set to hit the free agent market. But should this result in Flacco
becoming the NFL’s highest-paid player? One person pivotal to negotiations
thinks so, Flacco’s agent Joe Linta, according to Brian A. Shactman of CSNBC.
When asked whether Flacco should be the highest paid
quarterback in the NFL, Linta simply said: "YES."
Linta told CSNBC that following the Ravens Super Bowl win
over the San Francisco 49ers Flacco “immediately becomes a national figure.” As
such, Linta believes his client should become the highest-paid quarterback in
This would mean that Flacco would earn more than the $18
million the Denver Broncos paid Peyton Manning this season. It would also see
him making more than the $20 million per year that New Orleans Saints
quarterback Drew Brees is averaging.
Linta argues that Flacco is younger than both players and
has won just as much as either of them. What type of deal the Super Bowl MVP
ends up with is to be determined, but Flacco and the Ravens appear to have a
mutual interest in reaching an agreement this offseason.

Joe Flacco finished this postseason with 11 Touchdowns, 0 interceptions, a Super Bowl ring, and a Super Bowl MVP award. Sounds elite to me.
So now that the season is over, attention turns to Flacco and the Ravens as they now have to attempt to get a deal done because of Flacco’s looming free agency. Flacco was believed to be seeking top 5 quarterback money, and I’m sure it just...

Ravens owner Joe Bisciotti told reporters on Thursday that they offered QB Joe Flacco a ”top-5 contract” last summer, per Albert Breer.
If true, it would make Flacco’s decision to play out the final season of his contract all the more remarkable.
Flacco, 28, will definitely secure a $100 million contract at some point, but it will be interesting to see just how much guaranteed...
By leading the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl championship, Joe Flacco not only did the best possible thing he could do for the organization, but also for his own contract situation. Flacco will become a free agent this offseason, and there is no better leverage in contract negotiations than the Vince Lombardi trophy.
The 28-year-old is in for a massive payday, but how big are...
Last year during the offseason, Baltimore Ravens' quarterback Joe Flacco was making wild statements about how he was an “elite” quarterback and the best in the business. He really sounded like he belonged in a nut house than on the football field.Flacco has been one of those quarterbacks that has seen more downs than ups over his career even though he manages to get the Ravens...
Before Joe Flacco as a Super Bowl MVP, he showed off his arm against college football’s elite.
Delaware’s own Joe Flacco said he deserved to be considered among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. After leading the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl championship and being named the game’s most valuable player, any argument against that idea, for now, is rendered moot. To be honest...
Joe Flacco mentioned that he is “pretty optimistic” about finalizing a new contract with the Ravens in the next few months.
“I’m pretty optimistic, but who knows,” Flacco said, per Aaron Wilson. “This is a great organization. I don’t anticipate any problem.”
Last offseason, the Ravens reportedly offered Flacco a contract that would have paid him $16...

I am a huge proponent of keeping things in perspective as far as the sports world goes. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco had an excellent postseason. 11 TD’s to 0 INT’s had been done only once by some guy named Joe Montana. In a season that ultimately ended up in a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl [...]
Why Beyonce? Why not? As we recap the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, here's five amazing stats to take away from the game.1. Not me, that's for sure.Jacoby Jones was the difference in this game, hauling in a 56-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco and returning a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown...
