NFL Injury Report:
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III got fans
excited at a draft party for the team yesterday, as the 2012 Rookie of the Year
tested his surgically-repaired knee by jogging up a short flight of stairs and doing
a few jumping jacks, according to Kent Babb of The Washington Post.
After showing off what his knee can do, Griffin took a
microphone and told Redskins’ fans that he’ll “be ready to go” for next season.
“I’m good. You guys saw me jumping,” said Griffin, who was
the 2012 Rookie of the Year after passing for 3,200 yards and rushing for

first-round playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He immediately underwent
surgery to repair the significant damage, and he’s since shown promise during
The Redskins have yet to say when Griffin will be back, but there has been speculation that they believe he'll be ready to start the new year. If he’s
able to suit up for Washington’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles,
it will be eight months removed from surgery. RG3's original timeframe for return was six to eight months.
