According to reports, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested by Massachusetts State Police in connection to the murder of Odin Lloyd, an associate of Hernandez. Multiple police cars and a K-9 unit arrived at the home of Hernandez on Saturday afternoon and completed a mass search of his home. Lloyd’s body was discovered in North Attleboro, Mass, less than a mile from the home of Hernandez. The two had previously been seen together on Sunday night with one another. There are reports from neighbors of hearing gun shots. Alleged evidence linking Hernandez to the murder of Floyd, a broken cell phone from Hernandez’s home, surveillance video from Hernandez’s that he reportedly tried to destroy, and the hiring of a professional cleaning crew the morning after the Lloyd’s body was found. There is some additional circumstantial evidence that has been reported, such as a rental car driven by Floyd in the name of Hernandez, and the relationship of Floyd dating the sister of Hernandez’s girlfriend. Last Friday, there were multiple reports that an arrest warrant had been obtained to arrest Hernandez under the charge of obstruction of justice.
