Getty Images According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New Orleans Saints have offered quarterback Drew Brees a contract that would pay him more than both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.  All indications are that it’s still not enough money. “‪Saints‬ have offered to make him a higher-paid QB than Brady & Manning,” said Schefter, per Evan Silva.  ”It has not been enough.” I’m not sure what Brees is looking for and I’m sure the Saints feel the same way.  It looks like he’s either being really greedy or he wants to win the mega millions.

Report: Saints, Drew Brees negotiations will go down to the July 16th wire

Getty Images According to Mike Florio of, the contract talks between the New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees will likely go down to the July 16th wire.  If a deal doesn’t get done by then, Brees will have to play out the 2012 season under the franchise tag. Talks between Saints, Drew Brees could go down to the wire

According to Pro Football Talk, extension discussions between the Saints and Drew Brees could go down to the wire, with the wire being the July 16th deadline for franchise players to sign long term deals. Should Drew Brees Contract Situation Concern Fantasy Owners?

Phot Via With all of the turmoil surrounding the New Orleans Saints, you would have thought the Drew Brees contact situation would be dealt with swiftly. Unfortunately for Saints fans and keeper league owners of Brees, that hasn’t been the case. Brees is now missing mandatory minicamp. While it isn’t a big deal for a player of his stature, it would be nice for...

Latest Saints offseason setback: backup QB Daniel injured

Now starting at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints ... Sean Canfield? It was only minicamp, but that was the reality for the Saints Wednesday. Chase Daniel enjoys thrill in Brees' absence

Sooner or later, the Drew Brees-New Orleans Saints contract impasse will end. The most likely outcome is a lavish deal that keeps the star quarterback in the fold for years to come. Chase...

Saints TE Thomas credits wife's role in comeback

Saints veteran tight end David Thomas struggled in the past year with activities as natural as playing outside with his young boys. And when his infant daughter cried, his wife, Kassidy, would whisk her away so the noise would not worsen her husband's...
