Marcus Vick, the younger brother of NFL star Michael Vick, is facing two separate arrest warrants in Virginia, the Newport News Daily Press reported. Marcus Vick, 27, had a warrant issued for his arrest on a contempt of court charge in Newport News on Tuesday. It came after he failed to turn himself in to the county jail by 5:00pm ET on Monday to serve a 10-day sentence, as ordered by a judge last week following a series of missed court dates stemming from a traffic stop in January 2010. It has subsequently emerged Marcus Vick is also facing a warrant in Montgomery County, issued Feb. 6, for his failure to attend hearings at least four times an unrelated civil suit related to an apparent $60,000 debt. He is accused of failing to pay $40,000 that he agreed to in 2008 to settle a lawsuit with a teenage girl who claimed she was psychologically damaged after a two-year sexual relationship with him, which began when she was 15 and he was 19. The larger sum now being demanded accounts for additional attorney fees and interest. Kristopher Olin, attorney of the now 23-year-old woman, told the Daily Press, "Mr. Vick really ruined her life. It has been really upsetting for her ... Mr. Vick's blatant disregard for our agreement, for the court system and just not honoring his word has really been frustrating for her, and it's just disappointing." Marcus Vick followed in his brother's footsteps by playing quarterback at Virginia Tech from 2003-05 but was dismissed from the team following several run-ins with police. He spent one season with the Miami Dolphins in 2006 but played in only one game.
