Found January 14, 2013 on Steelers Depot:
There is still no word as to who the Arizona Cardinals will decide on to be their next head coach, but it is looking more and more likely that it won't be Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who reportedly interviewed with his former employer last week. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports on Monday, that according to his sources, Haley gave Cardinals team president Michael Bidwill a very high asking price as far as salary goes when the two met last week. Dulac speculates that Haley did this because he is currently happy with his job with the Steelers and doesn’t Read more [...]

Steelers Need ‘Best Player Available’

While four teams remain in the NFL Playoffs, I’m already interested in where the Pittsburgh Steelers are going in terms of the 2013 season. Last night, my partner-in-crime and I were very excited to be joined by Shane Hallam of www.draftcountdown.com to help us breakdown some possible directions the Steelers might go during the NFL Draft in April. Shane did an excellent job of...

Steelers 2013 Draft: Trading Back may be Best Option

If there is one thing that most draft experts can agree on it’s that the 2013 NFL draft is deep in terms of quality players. What can also be agreed on is that the top of the first round lacks the big time talent that is typically associated with the NFL draft. In fact, the draft is deep in second round talent more than anything. Therefore, the Steelers best bet for the draft may...

Pittsburgh Steelers: Todd Haley, Omar Khan and LaMarr Woodley’s Training Regimen

The Pittsburgh Steelers have multiple people in the headlines right now, but LaMarr Woodley is getting more talk than anyone on the team. Woodley’s conditioning has been in question due to his injury issues and poor performance during the past two seasons. Todd Haley, the Steelers offensive coordinator, is also in the news as he is a candidate for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching...

Is Bruce Arians A Threat To Poach Away Steelers RB Isaac Redman During Restricted Free Agency?

Several teams are now just a few weeks into their offseason and there are still a few head-coaching spots left to be filled in addition. One of the candidates for the few remaining open jobs around the league is Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, who of course was the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to being let go around this time last...

Kelvin Beachum Could be Steelers Left Guard In 2013 and Beyond

The Steelers are building a younger and more athletic offensive line in front of Ben Roethlisberger and the 2012 draft may account for three starters in 2013. First round pick David DeCastro is the Steelers right guard of the future and second round pick Mike Adams will start at tackle in 2013. Adams, who will be entering his second NFL season, will play left or right tackle in...

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers will likely let Max Starks and Ramon Foster to leave in free agency and release Willie Colon. The Steelers believe they’re already have the players to replace Starks, Foster and Colon. They drafted Kelvin Beachum — their fourth and final pick in the seventh round last year — to play guard, even though he...

Steelers To Make Big Offensive Line Changes During Offseason?

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette believes the Steelers are prepared to make dramatic changes to their offensive line in the coming months. Bouchette expects Max Stark and Ramon Foster to leave during free agency, with Willie Colon being released outright. Colon ended the season on IR after suffering another knee injury. This is the third season in a row that Colon...

Cardinals plan to go hard after Broncos OC Mike McCoy

The Cardinals are expected to go hard after Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy to be their head coach. Denver's season ending loss means McCoy now is available to speak with the Cardinals about the job. Tebow to Cardinals? Rumors swirl

There's bad quarterback play, and then there's the quarterback play of the Arizona Cardinals, who are in desperate need of a savior going forward. Could that savior be Tim Tebow? While it's unclear whether the Cardinals will have any interest in pursuing a trade for the Jets' backup quarterback/clipboard holder, speculation of such a move has unsurprisingly picked...

Eagles confirm they interviewed Ken Whisenhunt

According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles have not confirmed that they interviewed former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Whisenhunt has now met with four teams and in my opinion is one of the best available candidates.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document...
