Has there ever been a franchise (and its fans) more focused on the every offseason move of one of its players than the Washington Redskins and their fans are on the rehab of Robert Griffin III? Barely a month ago, Griffin made headlines for throwing a football to an elephant at a circus. An elephant. At a circus. Coming off major reconstructive knee surgery, every step the...

(AP Photo/Evan Vucci) People always say the first impression is the most important, and the Washington Redskins 6th round draft choice Baccari Rambo is taking that to heart. Stephen Colbert featured Maryland congresswoman Donna Edwards last night, and he worked in a shot at her hometown Redskins:
Maryland’s 4th also includes FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, the most offensive name in professional sports … other than the Arizona Asian Kids Are Good At Maths.

For years there has been a smoldering debate in regards to the Washington D.C. professional football team, and their nickname of the Redskins.
The name which has always been known to demean American Indians and seen as racist, has been cause for great debate in the nation’s capital for years.
It seems that for now, that debate can stop. While having a conversation with USA Today...

The Washington Redskins are frequently criticized for their offensive nickname. There has been discussion over the years about the Redskins changing their name. Many teams have been pressured to change their offensive logos and/or nicknames, including another team from the DC — the Washington Bullets, which converted to the Washington Wizards in 1997. But team owner Daniel Snyder...
