Found February 11, 2013 on NESN.com:
The Patriots have officially turned the page on the 2012 season, and now it’s time to look toward the future. But that future begins now. NFL free agency won’t begin for another month (March 12), but that doesn’t mean Bill Belichick isn’t already entrenched into his studies to reload for his next Super Bowl run. The Patriots finished as one of the final four in 2012, a few mistakes and unfortunate injuries away from their own trip to New Orleans. There were a number of deficiencies that kept them from returning to the big game this year, including a battered defensive line, an inconsistent secondary and a season-ending injury to Rob Gronkowski in the divisional playoffs. The Patriots have a lot of areas to address this offseason. Keeping Gronk healthy throughout an entire season is obviously a major factor, as will be finding help in the secondary. Aqib Talib is not a definite to return, so the Patriots may need to dig deep into their wallets to pay some worthy defenders. The same c...

Patriots may rid themselves of both Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker

Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe believes  both Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker likely won’t be back with the Patriots next season.  And I agree with him. It’s been obvious for a while now that Wes Welker is likely done in New England.  If they place the franchise tag on him for a second straight season, it will cost them $11.4 million for the 2013 season.  They can’t afford...

Patriots rumors: Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd gone?

The New England Patriots have several options when it comes to tackling their offseason, but one route could have them allowing Wes Welker to walk and also parting ways with Brandon Lloyd, according to Greg A. Bedard of The Boston Globe. Bedard believes cutting ties with its veteran wide outs represents the best option for the Patriots. Welker is set to become an unrestricted...

Logan Mankins on Rob Gronkowski: ‘He’s a big meathead that likes to party’

There has been a growing concern among New England Patriots fans and the like that Rob Gronkowski is getting carried away with his passion for raging. Another offseason has begun with one of Gronk’s limbs in a cast. Like his injured ankle last year, Gronkowski’s surgically-repaired forearm doesn’t appear to be slowing him down when it comes to partying shirtless and wrestling...

Mankins doesn’t have a problem with Gronk’s off the field antics

New England Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins told Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com that he doesn’t have a problem with the way tight end Rob Gronkowski has been acting off the field. “I know we are referring to Gronk and partying and doing wrestling moves and stuff. I think Gronk’s having fun,” Mankins said Tuesday during a charitable appearance at the Kraft Family Blood...

Percy Harvin Would Be Perfect Fit for Patriots’ Offense As Vikings Attempt to Trade Troubled Wide Receiver

Back in 2009, the Patriots held the No. 23 overall pick in the NFL draft. Percy Harvin went No. 22 and New England immediately traded down to No. 26, and then out of the first round entirely. That may not have been a coincidence. The Patriots worked out Harvin prior to the draft, and then-Vikings head coach Brad Childress thought Minnesota stole the Florida product out from under...

Why Tom Brady Has Won in His Last Super Bowl in New England

The Baltimore Ravens are your Super Bowl champions! I know, it’s a little late but I had to write last week in “tribute” to Ray Lewis. But with the Ravens holding the rights to call themselves Super Bowl champions until next February, the debate now begins. Who is the favorite to win in next year? The opening odds to win the 2014 Super Bowl have the Patriots at 6-1, Niners...

McGinest: Time for Brady to have talk with Gronkowski

A year after catching flak for being filmed dancing on a badly sprained ankle following the New England Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants, Rob Gronkowski TMZed it up again. This time around, the tight end was filmed performing wrestling moves at a Vegas nightclub while sporting a cast on his twice-surgically repaired forearm, which was broken in two different...
