The NFL has deemed that Saints defensive lineman Brodrick Bunkley's kick to the head 49ers OL Alex Boone was $10,000 less of an infraction that Ndamukong Suh's groin kick to Texans' QB Matt Schaub. Are we the only ones who think the NFL is all of the place this year in it's consistency regarding discipline? First, Roger Goodell says he wasn't sure of Suh's intent when he either purposely or acidentally kicked Matt Schaub in the nads, then fines Suh $30k the next day. Bunkley's kick was pretty obvious, and in the minds of the NFL brain trust, he gets a lighter fine (not to defend Suh, his kick was intentional). Watch: Via Doug Farrar of Yahoo Sports:With 1:13 left in San Francisco's eventual 31-21 win, the 49ers were set up to kick a 33-yard field goal, but the attempt was blocked by Saints cornerback Malcolm Jenkins. After the play, Bunkley seemed to say something unpleasant to Boone, who appeared to attempt to punch Bunkley in an area not too dissimilar to the area Schaub was concerned about a few days ago. Bunkley responded by kicking Boone in the head, which was grounds for a sure-fire ejection.
