Colin Kaepernick threw for 275 yards and a touchdown the San Francisco 49ers improved their record to 8-4 with 23-13 a victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. The yardage is the most Kaepernick has thrown for since week and it’s no secret that Michael Crabtree’s return had a lot to do with that.  In his first game since tearing his achillies tendon back in April, Crabtree caught a two of passes one of which came on a 60 yard throw and catch in the third quarter.  Crabtree’s teammate Anquan Boldin seem to benefit from his return as well with his nine catches and Vernon Davis also contributed with four grabs including a couple of the acrobatic variety and a touchdown. The 49ers defense did the rest not allowing a touchdown to a team that had scored 80 combined points the previous two week until 8 seconds before the end of the game.  They did so by having a bend but don’t break gameplan and using field position to pin the Rams back then getting off the field on third down preventing long drives.  By halftime the 49ers had only allowed 73 total yards and three points. With the victory, San Francisco has swept the season series against the Rams after going winless against them last season and and are now turning their attention for the big showdown next week against the NFC best Seattle Seahawks. Game Ball: Colin Kaepernick Is he back? after struggling for much of the season Kaepernick has now put together back to back efficient games is looking more and more like the guy who took his team to the Superbowl last year.  Kaepernick shredded the Rams secondary going 19 of 28 for 275 yards and a touchdown.  Well see if he can keep it going next week against the Seahawks and their outstanding defense. Injury News: Joe Staley Pro-bowl left tackle Joe Staley left the game with a right knee injury that was later determined to be MCL sprain.  Jim Harbaugh called his status as a “week to week” injury but his is likely to miss next week’s game against Seattle.  The 49ers are already playing with guard Mike Iupati who suffered the same injury two weeks ago and might return this week.  If both pro-bowlers are inactive it will be up to Adam Snyder and second year player Joe Looney.
