It has been pretty clear since training camp started that Brandon Weeden was the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback.
Despite Pat Shurmur saying it was a competition with Colt McCoy, it was ended quickly by Brandon Weeden’s performance in camp. When I watched the first padded practice for the Browns, it was easy to see that Brandon Weeden's physical ability gives the Browns...
According to several reports, including Patrick McManamon and Tony Grossi, the Browns have cut QB Seneca Wallace.
The move all but assures Colt McCoy of the back-up QB job and that he won’t be traded. Thaddeus Lewis will likely make the 53 man roster as the third string QB.
After the game last night, Wallace hinted that there was a possibility that ‘something would have to happen’...

More details to come as they are available.

Tom Heckert spoke with the media this afternoon-
(On if he was expecting to have 15 rookies on the roster coming into camp)- “I’m going to be totally honest with you, (Neal Gulkis) just told me that. I didn’t really know it was 15 so it’s obviously not something that we planned. I don’t know if Pat (Shurmur) told you guys, but you can see there are some unorthodox – maybe...

Maybe Penn State and Michigan losing were bad for the Big 10 (and therefor Ohio State), but I won’t act like I didn’t enjoy it happen. “I sat and watched Big Ten football...
With Sept. 9 rapidly approaching, the Browns are optimistic rookie running back and first-round pick Trent Richardson will be ready to play.
Trent Richardson is expected to play the whole game if he’s cleared for Week 1.
Richardson was back at practice Saturday riding a bike on the sidelines. While this is good news for owners and he appears to be in line to play next week, keep in mind he likely won’t see a heavy workload. If you own him you’re obviously going to start him, just temper any lofty expectations....
