Found October 11, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The Seattle Seahawks may be without key players on both sides of the ball yet again in week 6, according to their official web page. Second-year linebacker Bobby Wagner and starting tight end Zack Miller have yet to participate in practice this week with injuries that could keep them both sidelined this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. Wagner was last year’s “Rookie Defensive Player of the Year” runner-up and has quickly become a vital part of the Seahawks fearsome defense. His speed and versatility allows Seattle to effectively disguise their coverage packages and create pass-rushing mismatches. If Wagner is unable to play Sunday, fellow linebackers K.J. Wright and Malcolm Smith will likely be asked to pick up the slack.  On the offensive side of the ball, Seattle may again be without starting tight end Zack Miller. While rookie tight end Luke Willson performed admirably last week in Miller’s absence, Seattle would feel much more comfortable with their veteran Pro-Bowler in the lineup. Miller’s ability to block in-line and create separation in the passing game is absolutely crucial for Seattle’s offensive success. Fortunately for the rushing attack, starting center Max Unger may finally return from an upper arm injury which would bring some much needed stability to the interior of the Seahawks offensive line. Here is the Seattle Seahawks official practice participation report for week 6 according to their official web page:DE Michael Bennett (quadriceps) – Full Participation in PracticeT Breno Giacomini (knee) – Did Not Participate in PracticeCB Jeremy Lane (hamstring) – Limited Participation in PracticeRB Marshawn Lynch (not injury related) – Full Participation in PracticeTE Zack Miller (hamstring) – Did Not Participate in PracticeCB Walter Thurmond III (knee) – Full Participation in PracticeC Max Unger (upper arm) – Full Participation in PracticeLB Bobby Wagner (ankle) – Did Not Participate in PracticeRB Spencer Ware (ankle) – Did Not Participate in PracticeFollow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?

Seattle Seahawks that are not cutting the mustard

4-1 is nice, but… After a tough loss, it’s easy to start having negative thoughts. However, Seattle Seahawks fans need not panic yet. This team is 4-1, and it lost a challenging game against a rising team on the road.  There are some players on the roster that I’m starting to worry about, though. Here is my list of five Seahawks that need to pick up the pace if they want...

Seahawks look to improve on third down conversions

The Seattle Seahawks look to shake off their thrid down woes starting Sunday when they face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The Titans would be a challenge to focus on in that areas, as they're ranked third-best in the league on third downs. Seattle was 5-for-26 in efficiency on third downs against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts combined. They got a pass on the...

Seattle Seahawks: 2013 Week 6 NFL Power Rankings (#2)

Last week: 1 (-1) Record: 4-1 I thought when the Seahawks won in Carolina (after winning in Chicago, Washington, blowing out Buffalo, and almost winning in Atlanta late last year) that it meant the Seahawks had turned a corner on the road. However, they almost lost in Houston and then last week they did lose in Indianapolis. The Colts are a good team and there’s no shame in losing...

Seahawks expect to have Max Unger back this week

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the media today that he expects offensive lineman Max Unger to be back for this week’s game after sitting out with an arm injury. “It’s really good to have him back,” Carroll said, per ProFootballTalk.com. “Lemuel Jeanpierre doing a really fine job for us in filling in but Max Unger is really the guy that has the greatest command...

Seattle Seahawks: When 2005 = 2013

From HawkBlogger.com, a partner of Oregon Sports News Most Seattle Seahawks fans use the 2005 season as the benchmark to which all other Seahawks teams should be measured. After all, they came closest to the ultimate prize. Mike Holmgren's 2005 team was known for its offense. Specifically, the ground game behind Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson became legendary. Matt Hasselbeck...

Seahawks fantasy forecast – Week 6 NFL predictions

Seahawks Fantasy Forecast – Week 6 The Seattle Seahawks finally return home this week to take on the Tennessee Titans in a game that, on paper, looks like a mismatch for the home side. Seattle Seahawks Running On The Road To … Success?

Twin 102-yard rushing performances. First defeat of the season. Both quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Marshawn Lynch topped the century mark with their feet against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. For such rare and remarkable ground-game productivity, the Seattle Seahawks were rewarded with their first defeat of the 2013 season. How important is a 100-yard...

Titans preparing to contend with Seahawks' D, 12th Man

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Be it ever so loud, there is no place like home for the Seattle Seahawks. Indeed, CenturyLink Field provides quite the advantage for the Seahawks, winners of 10 straight home games, including all eight home games last season and two this year. Trying to break that streak Sunday will be the Tennessee Titans (3-2), who spent much of practice this week amping it...

Seahawks may face Titan task covering spread this week

Last Sunday was the biggest letdown since Atlanta in January. Not as big a letdown, no, but it brought us all crashing down to earth nonetheless. Crashing? We glided, let’s say. The signs were there, though. The first half in Houston a week prior to that indicated road fragilities and two particular statistics stand out from last Sunday, one of which should never have contributed...

Week 6 Endgame: The blueprint for victory – Titans vs. Seahawks

Keys to success Last week the Seattle Seahawks lost for the first time this season.  It wasn’t one of those games where the team was outmatched; it was one of those games where the team was outplayed.   Those losses are the ones that tend to stick with a team and the players. The real question is whether the Seahawks will use that fire to destroy the Titans on Sunday, or if they...

Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans Week 6 gambling odds & handicapping

Betting on Seattle v Indy? Seahawks Look to Bounce Back on Home Turf The Seattle Seahawks return home this week from what was a fairly productive road trip — a win and a loss against two AFC powerhouses. The Hawks weren’t going to win every game this year, but showed that they can hang with absolutely anyone despite a heartbreaking loss to the Colts last week. The good news...

What I’m watching for in the Titans vs. Seahawks week 6 match up

Home is Where the Heart Is Well damn. Last week did not go as planned. Here I was, anticipating a run-based, defensive effort from two of the league-leading rushing attacks. Yet both teams decided to showcase their budding stars at the QB position and air it out. Unfortunately, due to the Seahawks depleted offensive front Russell Wilson had to work with, the Hawks were undermanned...
