The Seattle Seahawks are searching for a backup quarterback now that they’ve traded Matt Flynn to the Oakland Raiders, but Tim Tebow is not one of the players they are likely to pursue, according to Danny O’Neil of The Seattle Times. With Russell Wilson cemented as the team’s franchise quarterback, Seattle is looking for a backup that can continue to produce the zone-read option offense that the team implemented last season. This is what has some tying Tebow to the Seahawks, as he has shown the ability to use his legs as well as his arm. However, while Seattle looked into Tebow – who remains on the New York Jets’ roster – he’s not expected to fall under serious consideration. While Seattle isn’t expected to target Tebow, O’Neil says they could take a look at other veteran backups – including Tyler Thigpen, Seneca Wallace, Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart. O’Neil adds that the team won’t end its search for a backup quarterback following the addition of Josh Portis last week. Why The New York Jets Are The NFL's Biggest Joke

If there was ever a great example of a chicken running around with its head cut off, it's the New York Jets' quarterback situation for the past few seasons.
