ALLEN PARK, Mich. Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford didnt practice Wednesday, but he wasnt limping.
His status for Sundays game against Minnesota probably wont be officially released until Fridays injury report.
Im getting better, Stafford said. I feel better today than I did on Sunday. Taking it day-by-day, just trying to get better.
Stafford wouldnt confirm the exact injury, but its believed to be a right-hamstring issue. He said he initially pulled a muscle in practice last Thursday.
Stafford started Sundays overtime loss at Tennessee, but aggravated the injury late in the fourth quarter while trying to chase down one of the Titans going in for a touchdown on a fumble return.
Asked about his chances of trying to practice Thursday, Stafford said, Im not sure yet. I still have some treatment left later on today and early in the morning tomorrow so well see.
