DETROIT Turkey legs and an Ndamukong Suh foot Thanksgiving traditions.
A year ago, Suh the controversial defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions was in the spotlight when he stomped on Green Bay offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith during the annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field. It led to a two-game suspension.
This time, Suh kicked Houston quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin areaduring a first-quarter play in Thursdays Lions-Texans game.
No penalty was called on the play. Schaub stayed in the game.
It was difficult to determine how much, if any, intent there was on Suhs part because he had been blocked and fallen to the turf when his footcame up and hit Schaub.
Whether its a car accident, a lawsuit or an anonymous general manager ripping him, controversy just seems to follow Suh, almost on a weekly basis.
