The Cardinals started hot but are slowing due to their lack of QB play.  Until they get some quality QB play they're not going anywhere. Denver at Cincinnati - The Boncos and Peyton Manning have things rolling now on both sides of the ball.  Don't forget that the Broncos played great defense and special teams last season and they were able to run the ball.  You add Peyton Manning to that mix and it's no surprise they are rolling right now.  I'm not ready to say they're headed to the Super Bowl for the AFC yet, but it won't take too many more wins for me to change my mind. The Bengals are a young team that gets a lot of attention from their QB and WR combo.  But, it you look at their schedule this season, they haven't beat a good team this season.  I think they have too many holes to beat the Broncos, even at home. Denver wins. Baltimore at Cleveland - Other than their week 1 win over Cincinnati, none of the Ravens games have been that impressi...
4 Comments:
  • The quarterback situation is a non-issue when you have no offensive line protection. Why do you think Peyton Manning opted out of coming to the Valley? Where would the Cardinals be at this point in the season if he were here? Not much better than the Cardinals are now!
  • The real Problem is the Offensive Line and un-ability to block!
Offensive Lines are the heart of a good football team.
  • the choice should be easy, With Kolb you win, With Shelton you lose.
  • Numerous dropped passes, horrible blocking, bad play calling...... not a "Skelton/Kolb" problem.

Kevin Kolb Is Still A Few Weeks Away From Returning

It doesn’t look like Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb will be returning to field any time soon. “Kolb has been doing some light throwing but doesn’t appear close to being ready to play,” writes Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic. Kolb was injured during Week 6′s loss to the Bills when he suffered multiple detached ribs. It would a surprise if he is able to play before...

Colledge savors return to Lambeau

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Daryn Colledge had never been the player asked to do the conference call with the opposing team's local media. After all, as the offensive lineman who protected Brett Favre for two years and Aaron Rodgers for three seasons during his time with the Packers, Colledge wasn't exactly highly requested for those types of interviews. Now in his second year with...

Arizona Cardinals: Week 9 NFL Power Rankings (#23)

Last week: 23 (-2) Record: 4-4 I wish Dennis Green was still the Cardinals’ coach. Then he could shout “we are who they thought we were!” I never believed in them. They’ve never been ranked higher than 15th in these Power Rankings, even when they were 4-0. This is what I said about the Cardinals after their 3-0 start. Almost every year, there’s a team that gets off to a...

Fitz held down by sputtering Arizona offense

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By BOB BAUM AP Sports Writer Arizona's offensive woes have limited the team's ability to take best advantage of one of the best wide receivers in the game. A weak offensive line, erratic quarterback play and a largely ineffective running game have meant that defenses can zero in on Larry Fitzgerald more than ever, and he...

Cards to get taste of 'special' Lambeau setting

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Paris Lenon was a Green Bay rookie in 2002 when he received his Packers indoctrination. Every year at training camp, the club has a tradition featuring kids bringing their bikes to Lambeau Field, sticking pegs in the back-wheel spokes, carrying a players helmet and hitching a ride across Oneida St. to the clubs practice facility while 250- and 300-pound players pedal...

Fantasy Football Week 9 Preview: Cardinals at Packers

Arizona: The Cardinals hit rock bottom in Week 8, getting shellacked by the 49ers right in their own back yard no less. Of course the road doesn’t get any easier, as they pay a visit to Lambeau Field and the suddenly clicking Packers. The Packers are playing better defense than they did last season, ranking 13th overall in yards allowed per game and are second with a total of...
