As game day is fast approaching it is time to take a look at three keys to the game for the Patriots that could help guide them to a victory in Sunday’s AFC Championship game over the Baltimore Ravens. In what should be a very competitive game, one mistake could be the different between winning and losing. Three keys to a Patriots win: 1. Contain Ray Rice This one is pretty obvious with Rice being the Ravens biggest offensive threat, but he is the one player that single handedly knocked the Patriots out of the playoff two seasons ago, also at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots defense has two options. One, they can play aggressive like they did last week against Tim Tebow and the Broncos, and crowd the box. The second being they can play their normal vanilla, sit back and prevent the big play style, which they have used most of the season. The best option to me against the Ravens would be to play the aggressive style and let Joe Flacco beat you. Keeping Rice in check is one of the...

Ray Rice Poses Huge Challenge for Patriots' Defense in AFC Championship in Running and Passing Games

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Heading into Sunday's AFC Championship against the Ravens, the Patriots' defense knows it will have its hands full with a 5-foot-8 dynamo of a running back. Ray Rice drives Baltimore's offense on the ground and, perhaps more importantly, through the air. Rice led the NFL with 2,068 yards from scrimmage during the regular season. He was second in the...

Baltimore Ravens MVP

Baltimore has been a defense-first team and is still that way; but they're a TEAM defense. While Lewis gets the tackles (95), Suggs gets the sacks (14) and fumbles (7), and Webb gets the INT's (5); the defense can't do it all. Even with the stingy D, without putting points on the board and running down the clock, the Ravens lose. Thus the MVP for the Ravens must be.....

Vince Wilfork, Defensive Line Could Be Biggest Factor Against Ravens, Ray Rice and 19 Other Patriots Thoughts

FOXBORO, Mass. -- The Patriots are a victory short of redemption against the Ravens, and they'd reserve a weeklong trip to Indianapolis, which is nice this time of year. With so much happening around Gillette Stadium, let's just get right to it with this week's Two-Minute Drill. 1. It's true, to an extent, when the Patriots say they're a different team this year...

AFC championship preview: Ravens (13-4) at Patriots (14-3)

Run, Ray, run. Catch, Ray, catch. Those are the top two priorities for the Ravens, who must get the ball in the hands of RB Ray Rice , the league's leader in total yardage with 2,068 (1,364 rushing).

Baltimore vs. New England: Five Players To Keep An Eye On

The Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots: two heavy-hitting teams with a variety of talent - but only one will make it to the big game on February 5th. These are two very different teams in terms of strengths and weaknesses. It's no secret that the Patriots lack a decent running game, while Baltimore has one of the best in the league courtesy of Ray Rice; or that the...
