Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker dislocated his left shoulder during a week 1 contest against the New England Patriots. The 24-year-old sustained a similar injury this week, but because he’s left-handed it’s not expected to cause him to miss much time.

After sustaining the initial injury during the first week of the season, Locker was able to return for the Titans’ next game. Coach Mike Munchak said yesterday that Locker was very sore and that it’s uncertain how much he’ll be able to participate in practice this week. While his status for next week’s contest against the Minnesota Vikings isn’t clear at this time, this doesn’t appear to be an injury that will cause the quarterback to miss multiple weeks.

Locker has thrown for 781 yards and four touchdowns so far this season. If he’s is unable to suit up against the Vikings, veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will get the start for the Titans.
