Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker has been cleared by doctors to return and there’s a chance he could take over for backup Matt Hasselbeck this weekend against the Miami Dolphins, reports Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “The good news is medically they are very happy with his progress,’’ Munchak said on his weekly radio show on 104.5-FM. “He has been cleared as far as they are concerned to move forward to the next level which for now is to start taking reps, practicing and getting ready for a game week.” Locker has been sidelined for the past five weeks after dislocating his non-throwing shoulder during a Sept. 30 contest against the Houston Texans. He’s participated in practice over the last several weeks, but he hadn’t been given the green light to return for the Titans until his recent MRI. Munchak told reporters that Locker and Hasselbeck will split reps with the starting offense this week as they prepare to make a decision later in the week. In other Titan injury news, the team placed veteran guard Leroy Harris on injured reserve with a partially torn ACL.
