Troy Aikman sat down for a short Q & A session with The Brownsville Herald where Aikman answered a few questions about yesteryear. But things got interesting when he was asked who is a better quarterback between Tony Romo and himself. As you may have guessed, Aikman was gracious in his answer. He was so gracious that he went as far as to say that Romo is a better quarterback than he is.“I think Tony already is a better quarterback than I was. I know how quarterbacks are judged but as far as his play-making ability and the things that he is capable of doing, he is a far more athletic quarterback, capable of making more plays than I ever was able to. He has a good team around him and hopefully, and I believe this will happen, I believe that he will win a Super Bowl before he is done playing.”We have our own reaction to Aikman’s comments, but we will save it and get to Aikman’s former teammate Darren Woodson’s reaction. You see, Woodson doesn’t agree with Aikman’s assessment and he’...

Troy Aikman thinks Tony Romo is better than he was, will win a Super Bowl

It’s only March, but we at LBS are already announcing Troy Aikman as a finalist for most modest statement of the year in 2012. For those of you who are unfamiliar with his resume, Aikman was a six-time Pro Bowler who led the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl championships in the early 90s. With Aikman under center, the Cowboys were a team that was feared by the entire NFL and...

Marion Barber retires after seven NFL seasons

According to the Chicago Bears official Twitter account, running back Marion Barber has decided to retire after seven NFL seasons. Barber will only be 29 years-old in June, but is clearly on the back side of his career and isn’t really worth much at this point in his career. As productive as Barber was in his career, he never rushed for 1,000 yards in a season. He finished his...
