I’m going to mix things up this week and and list all my buys and sells under the umbrella of a much larger general investment strategy. That strategy is one that the New York Jets incorporated this offseason in an attempt to generate much larger returns for the 2012 season. That strategy is simple:
SELL – Brian Schottenheimer
BUY – Tony Sparano
That’s not to say that all things Sparano brings are wonderful and the offense will automatically be a juggernaut, because there are certain aspects of the offense I am still not sold on. Likewise, not all things Schitty (that’s a typo, I swear!) brought to the table were awful. There was some good, I just don’t know what they were. Actually, forget I said anything; Brian Schottenheimer sucks. Anyway, I think the general theme of selling on Schotty and buying in to the Sparano era is going to be profitab...

Mike Donnelly with a much needed rant to New York Jets fans to kick your week off…
Read that title again, Jets fans, and let it sink in. I’ve observed an inordinate amount of arguing, fighting, name-calling, and general assholery permeating through the Internet since the Jets traded for Tim Tebow — and it is only getting worse as we get closer to the season. I’ve seen trouble...
New York Jets left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson took a break this offseason from preparing to protect Mark Sanchez's blind side to write a children's book titled "Brick's Way." The book is all about teaching kids about "going green," with D'Brickashaw Ferguson turning into Litte Brick to teach his friends. To promote the book, which...
When taking a stand on the Jets’ quarterback situation, most typically fall into one camp or the other. Some think Mark Sanchez will fend off his polarizing counterpart, while others (read: Tebow-maniacs) put their faith in a higher power (read: Tim Tebow).
Shaquille O’Neal, of all people, is among the few who thinks the dynamic will work in harmony.
On Monday, Shaq tweeted a...
New York Jets' defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson suffered no serious injuries early Saturday morning when the car he was driving overturned after hitting another vehicle, according to an ESPN SportsCenter report. Wilkerson was transported to a Newark hospital after the accident on Garden State Parkway. His 2011 Dodge Challenger struck a Toyota Siena just before 4:30 a.m....
Jets running back Joe McKnight, the 2010 fourth-round pick found a niche last year as a kickoff returner. He hopes to take the next step to be a consistent contributor on offense, too, infamously claiming to bulk up on a McDonald's diet according to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger. McKnight realizes that this could be a "make or break year" for him. "Yeah...
LaDainian Tomlinson proved to be one of the most dangerous running backs of the young century. He's likely heading to the Hall of Fame, and if and when he gets there, he won't be rocking a Super Bowl ring -- but that's alright for the former Charger and Jet. LT was asked whether he’d rather have a Super Bowl ring or be a Hall of Famer and he didn't even blink. ...
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, New York Jets defensive tackle Mohamed Wilkerson walked away with “minor injuries” after flipping his car and striking another vehicle on the Garden State parkway in New Jersey on Saturday morning.
Wilkerson was charged with careless driving and failure to maintain his lane after striking a Toyota Siena with his 2011 Dodge...
If there is any tension between New York Jets quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, anyone would be hard-pressed to see it. Everything between these two teammates and competitors has been kosher since Tebow was acquired in a trade this offseason to push Sanchez, the incumbent starter. Tebow recently returned to the University of Florida, his alma mater, and expanded on his rapport...
Former NFL running back LaDainian Tomlinson told NBC Sports Talk that he’d much rather be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame then win a Super Bowl.
“Hall of Fame player without a ring, because you’ve got to sacrifice so much individually just to be good,” Tomlinson said, via ProFootballTalk.com. “They draft you individually and you’ve got to back...
Former Florida Gator and current New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was introduced as a member of the Florida booster board this past weekend.
During Tebow’s time at the podium he talked about being a Gator in the NFL and ripped Notre Dame along the way.
“So many guys come up to me and say, ‘What’s it like to be at the University of Florida? What’s it like...
Jets defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson, the team's 2011 first-round pick, was involved in an accident Saturday in which his car flipped on the Garden State Parkway, but ESPN's Chris Mortensen writes that Wilkerson escaped with minor injuries. Wilkerson's 2011 Dodge Charger apparently struck another vehicle at about 4:29 a.m. Saturday before overturning, and he has been...
Unemployed San Diego Charger RB LaDainian Tomlinson was asked if he'd rather be in the Hall of Fame or have won a Super Bowl. Sort of a loaded question because, he's not winning a Super Bowl, he's...

Skip Bayless tells us exactly how [he thinks] it is.
Tim Tebow recently talked to Florida University boosters, and he had a very funny and interesting story to tell about former teammate Brady Quinn. While never referencing Quinn by name, Tebow said that a teammate who played the same position as him bragged constantly about the greatness of their former school, Notre Dame. Tebow...
