CHICAGO - OCTOBER 24: Donovan McNabb of the Washington Redskins takes the snap against the Chicago Bears as teammates Kory Lichtensteiger and Trent Williams prepare to block at Soldier Field on October 24, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. When Seattle took on Washington in the NFC Wild Card playoff matchup Richard Sherman was all over the field. Although he did not have a direct impact in the box score he was locking down receivers and laying licks on Redskins players all night long. Sherman is known as a lock-down defender and is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL this year. The Redskins dominated the first quarter and jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Sherman, with help from his defense forced the Redskins to multiple three and outs and halted the progress of RG3 and the Redskins. Sherman’s actions were not present in the box score but his mouth was certainly heard all over the field on Sunday. Mixing it up with players and talking trash seems to be a key component of Sherman’s game. He even instigated a punch from Trent Williams during post-game handshakes. Sherman flies around the field and leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of his opponents. By his actions and verbal encounters I can see why a punch was warranted from Williams. The cockiness that Sherman shows seems to be a distinctive trait of his. Where was Sherman born? You guessed it – Compton, California. His loud-mouthed, aggressive style of play serves him well and his actions have provided us with the  video of the week. Click here to view the video on YouTube. -Romaker
