Which Randy Moss will we see on the 49ers?
Rizzla: This is a tricky one to answer. On one hand Moss will be motivated playing for a contender. On the other hand his QB will be unable to get him the ball enough, and he will only be on the field for obvious passing plays. I really liked Moss as a WR3 candidate but now realize he is merely a bye week filler with WR3 upside. If the 49ers follow through with their plans to only play him 20-25 snaps per game his floor as mentioned is extremely low, but in the end he is one of the most talented receivers to ever play the game who still has some juice left.
Zach: The old one. I don’t see Moss contributing a whole lot for the 49ers, especially with guys like Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis, and Mario Manningham in the mix. Yes, Moss is still a deep threat, but the guy is in his 14th season. He doesn’t really have an elite quarterback in Alex Smith throwing to him either. I’ll look elsewhere for a deep threat.

That is because Ted Ginn Jr. is right back where he was to end last season – out with an injury.

49ers defensive coordinator says it's not time to panic yet
The San Francisco 49ers ranked fourth in the NFL in total defense last season and second in scoring defense, and there's no question defense is the team's strength. So it comes as somewhat of a surprise that opposing offenses have moved the ball and scored with relative ease against the 49ers during the preseason. That includes Sunday's 29-24 victory over Denver...
