Commentary: Rey Maualuga has a lot to prove in 2012
I remember watching the 2009 draft. In the first round the Cincinnati Bengals selected Andre Smith and then, when the Bengals went on the clock in the second round, Rey Maualuga, an inside linebacker from USC that I, and everybody else, figured would be gone, was still on the board. He seemed too good to pass up and everybody cheered the Bengals for getting the steal of the draft...

Could the Bengals Be Scared Off Alabama Prospects?
Could the Bengals’ early struggles with Andre Smith and the Alabama coaching staff scare the team away from taking Bama players this season? I doubt it. But considering the number of Crimson Tide players expected to go in the first round and Cincinnati’s last dealings with Alabama, it is an interesting point to consider. In [...]

Good morning from Paul Brown Stadium where the 7-5 Bengals face the 9-3 Texans in what head coach Marvin Lewis is calling the most important of his NFL coaching career.

Bengals CB Nate Clements, DE Carlos Dunlap, OT Andre Smith Out At Practice
Again, heading into Week 14, another extremely important game for the Bengals' hopes to make it to the playoffs, Cincinnati is a little banged up. At least this time they're not quite as banged up as their opponent is. For the Bengals, cornerback Nate Clements, safety Chris Crocker, defensive end Carlos Dunlap and right tackle Andre Smith were the biggest name players that...

Question from a reader – Andre Smith edition
Earlier in the year the Bengals organization said that would not pick Andre Smith’s contract option; after not allowing a sack against one of the leagues best pass rushers (Mathis), do you think we should pick up his contract option? No question Andre Smith is a better player this season than any other time. After [...]

Fifth quarter: Bengals 27, Colts 17
GAME BALL: TACKLES ANDREW WHITWORTH AND ANDRE SMITH
Coming into the game, Colts defensive ends Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney had combined for 11 sacks against the Bengals. On Sunday they were a non-factor due to Whitworth and Smith as quarterback Andy Dalton rarely felt pressure. Neither Mathis or Freeney had a tackle and the only way Mathis showed up on the stats sheet was...
