Wright gone wrong: Mike Wright couldn’t overcome concussions
Mike Wright was one of our favorite players. He played hard and gave it all he had. We forget that they are human and we take for granted in our own lives that at anytime things can go bad. Wright was an example of that since he stepped on the football field as a rookie undrafted free agent in 2005 and signed by the New England Patriots.
A product of the University of Cincinnati...

Weighing the futures of Andre Carter and Mike Wright, the Patriots timetable… and other tidbits!
One of my favorite things about the NFL Combine is the agent meeting that takes place on a yearly basis. They meet inside, reporters wait outside and stalk. And when you see an agent you recognize, you tackle him.
Or something. Anyway, what did we learn?
– Patriots DE Andre Carter is rehabbing ahead of schedule, according to his agent Carl Poston. Carter isn’t quite moving...

Patriots release Mike Wright, NFL career likely over
Defensive Lineman Mike Wright was released yesterday by the Patriots.
Other than him retiring, his release seemed imminent. Wright suffered a concussion on November 21, 2010 against the Colts that ended his season.
He made his return in the 2011 opener against Miami only to suffer another concussion, and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.

Patriots release DL Mike Wright (concussions) and OL Rich Ohrnberger
On the eve of the NFL Combine, the Patriots made two roster moves. In doing so, they may have sadly signaled the end of a once-promising career.
Defensive lineman Mike Wright and offensive guard Rich Ohrnberger have been released, the team announced just now. Both missed most of 2011 on Injured Reserve.
For Ohrnberger, it merely means the funniest player on Twitter is now looking...

By Mike McDermottThe Patriots have released nose tackle Mike Wright and offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger.
The 29-year-old Wright has played his entire seven-year career in New England. He picked up 10.5 sacks combined in the 2009 and 2010 seasons. But the 2010 season was cut short when he suffered a concussion in the season's 10th game. This season, he suffered another concussion...
