Found November 20, 2013 on Kukla's Korner:
PLAYERS: Dany Heatley
TEAMS: Minnesota Wild
from Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, As Dany Heatley made his way back to the city where he enjoyed his greatest NHL successes, it was impossible to ignore the fact that he had become a shell of his former self. Twice a 50-goal man with the high-flying Senators teams of the mid-2000s, Heatley returns to Ottawa Wednesday as a fourth-liner for the Minnesota Wild. The only thing more dramatic than his drop in production this season is a $7.5-million cap hit that makes him arguably the highest-paid role player in the league. Heatley scored just three goals during the opening 22 games and none were of much consequence for the up-and-coming Wild. The first was into an empty net, the second provided insurance during a 4-0 victory and the third came Tuesday in Montreal with just 1.3 seconds remaining in a 6-2 loss. Yet, despite that slow start, during a recent visit to Minnesota it was hard to find anyone around the Wild who didn’t have praise for the 32-year-old. continued

Heatley haunts ex-team; Koivu's late goal lifts Wild 4-3 over Ottawa

During last season’s lockout, Mike Yeo took boxing lessons just to stay busy. Before Wednesday’s game, that training paid off because Yeo did an amazing job of bobbing and weaving members of the Ottawa media who were peppering him about Dany Heatley returning to the city where he twice scored 50 goals in a season but now is a fourth-line shell of his former self. Like all good...

He ranks tied for first on the team in goals, tied for third in scoring and leads the team with 45 penalty minutes (PIM). Zucker was previously recalled by...

WATCH: Wild goalie Josh Harding reaches out for big save

Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding showed off his flexibility when he reached across to rob Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty.  Harding literally pulled this puck off the goal line to keep it from going in.  Unfortunately for Harding, he had a brutal second period and was pulled after allowing three goals in just over ten minutes…all of which were by Max Pacioretty.  Looks...

Pacioretty's natural hat trick pacifies red hot Wild in 6-2 road loss

They say home is where the heart is, and that certainly has boded well for the Minnesota Wild who have been one of the best NHL teams in their home barn as they boast a 10-1-2 record 21 games into the 2013-14 season.  On the road has been a different story, as the Wild are a far more mundane 3-3-2 and now are about to be tested in a major way in a 4-game road trip that will again...

Wild-Senators Preview

Josh Harding and the Minnesota Wild were cooled off in a big way in the opener of a four-game road trip. Fortunately, they won't have to wait too long for a shot at redemption. After suffering their first regulation loss of the month, the Wild look to get back on track Wednesday night and record their first win over the Ottawa Senators in nearly a decade. Minnesota (13-5-4...

Koivu strikes late to lead the Wild past Ottawa 4-3

In the film Planes, Trains and Automobiles, John Candy and Steve Martin is a story about the ultimate trip from hell.  A man decides to be nice and give a lift to a shower ring salesman so he can get back home for Thanksgiving.  The salesman is obnoxious and tremendously accident prone and just about all that could go wrong, does.  Hopefully the Minnesota Wild have better luck...
