(Photo by: Paul Sancya/AP Photo) Young goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has found a comfortable place to play hockey without an extremely hostile environment pouring the pressure on to make the playoffs. Before coming to Columbus, Bobrovsky was a wash up out of Philadelphia. There were low expectations for him, and also the entire Blue Jackets' organization. However, that appears to be the reason for their success. Steve Mason was supposed to be the starting goalie entering this season, but Bobrovsky impressed the coaching staff so much during training camp, it was a shoe in for him to be the starter. Now, since Mason was traded at the trade deadline to the Flyers, Bobrovsky will now be the full starter to drive his team to the playoffs. The 24 year old has completely turned his game around and in each game, he appears to be gaining confidence in every start. Bobrovsky is quite the athletic goaltender. When in panic situations, he can easily make any necessary move to keep the puck out of the net. The Russian native possess ridiculous quickness when on his feet. The t-pushes and shuffles are on point to every shooter without hesitation. Something that flies under some goalie scouts' radars is the ability to come out and challenge the shooter. Bobrovsky has the hockey intelligence to know when the correct time to come out of his crease to cut down an angle and when not to. Of course the when not occurs when there are two or more players entering the zone. However, one of the key problems in his game is the lack of communication with his teammates on the ice. That doesn't come as a surprise though, being that he is from Russia and speaks that language. Here is how to beat Bobrovsky: Five hole Quick shots glove side: Bobrovsky has a decent glove, but he doesn't have quick glove   Left post knee up: Sergei Bobrovsky will leave gaps to score when he is in a post knee up position with his left leg up. Whether it is over the shoulder, or between the five-hole, there will be a place open.   Sergei Bobrovsky's career vs Nashville Name W L OT SO SV% GAA #72 Sergei Bobrovsky 3 1 0 0 .898 3.39 Sergei Bobrovsky's 2012-13 stats Name W L OT SO SV% GAA #72 Sergei Bobrovsky 12 8 6 3 .927 2.13
