The Minnesota Golden Gophers scored a huge Big Ten win over the Wisconsin Badgers last night and celebration was in order.
We didn’t expect this type of celebration from Gophers head coach Tubby Smith. Smith must really felt the win was big because he let his hair down some, and really got his jig on.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers knocked off Wisconsin in overtime, prompting Tubby Smith to bust a move.
MINNEAPOLIS – With the Gophers trailing No. 20 Wisconsin 49-43 with just over five minutes remaining at Williams Arena, Minnesota buckled down, coming back to force overtime with a combination of clutch shooting and suffocating defense. The Golden Gophers continued their all-around effort in the extra session, pulling out a 58-53 win against their rivals.
A late rally wasn’t enough for the UW men’s hockey team who fell 3-2 at the hands of No. 2 Minnesota Friday night at the Kohl Center.
It was the Badgers who drew first blood thanks to Nic Kerdiles who pounded home a loose puck at 14:32 of the first period, giving UW a 1-0 advantage.
