Best Athletes By The Numbers:
Latendresse, wearing the extraordinary jersey number 84, made his first appearance in the NHL at age 19 with Montreal, during the 2006-07 season, after being drafted in the 2nd round of the NHL entry draft in 2005. He would find success immediately, scoring 29 points in his first regular season. His production would remain steady over the next two seasons with 27 and 26 points respectively.
Since being traded to Minnesota, Latendresse has only improved offensively, albeit while wearing the inverse of his jersey number with the Canadiens.
Did you know...........that before Latendresse donned number 84, it was the last unworn jersey number in the NHL?
