Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby joined his teammates for practice Thursday but did not participate in contact drills. Crosby went through a full practice, only the third time he's skated with the team since his last game 2 1/2 months ago. Penguins coach Dan Bylsma noted that the extended practice Thursday did not signify a change in Crosby's status. "He was out there with our team for the entire practice, although he did not participate in the contact drills that we did have," Dan Byslma said. "We'll see how he progresses and where he's at in terms of getting on the ice." Crosby is dealing with a treatable soft tissue injury that is causing swelling in his top two vertebrae. The 2007 NHL MVP has not played since Dec. 5 due to concussion-like symptoms.
