The man expected to center the Buffalo Sabres’ top line into the future is going to be calling Buffalo home for a long while.
Via the team’s official twitter account, the Buffalo Sabres have come to terms on a six-year contract with the 23-year old.

“We are extremely excited to have signed Cody to a long-term deal,” Regier said via the team’s press release. “We feel he is going to be an important piece of our organization’s success in the future and look forward to watching him develop as a player.”
Hodgson was acquired by the Sabres at the 2012 NHL trade deadline in a deal that sent Zack Kassian to Vancouver.
Last season, Hodgson finished second on the team in scoring with 15 goals and 34 points in 48 games.
