Sports Injury Alert:
The Buffalo Sabres have been unable to keep players on their bench, either due to suspensions or injury. On top of that, they keep losing a lot of games.
Last night while playing the Florida Panthers, the Sabres lost yet another player to an injury to add to what is already a miserable start to the 2013-14 season. Mike Weber did not return to Friday nights game with an upper body injury, an injury that has seemed to plague the whole league this season. The team announced this on their twitter account during the game.
It seems that Weber, 25, may have suffered the injury while blocking a shot. While averaging a bit more than 17 minutes per night, he has not been able to get a point in 11 games so far this season.
However, thanks to a great performance by Jhonas Enroth, the Sabres at least won the game, taking out the Panthers 3-1.

The Buffalo Sabres keep losing players to suspensions (and keep losing games), so why not throw another injury into the miserable mix? The team announced that defenseman Mike Weber won’t return to Friday’s game against Florida because of an upper-body injury.

This is pretty straight forward, right? John Scott is a statue on skates and is basically as one-dimensional as they come in today’s NHL. In 187 career games, he’s tallied five points. Five. It’s counterproductive, yet punch throwers and cheap-shot artists like Scott continue to take roster spots away from guys who can actually play hockey...
