Jim Cerny at Blueshirts United reports that Anton Stralman, who was signed by the Rangers on November 5th, has been working hard while waiting for his first opportunity with the Blueshirts..."I think it's been good to take some time, and obviously the team has been doing good, so there's no real rush for me to get in there," Stralman told me following Monday's practice. "It gives me some time to work on a lot of things in practice, to learn every day, and also to improve my conditioning. This way when I get called upon I'll be in better shape and condition, and be better prepared, then if I was thrown in there right from the start."39 of Stralman's 74 career points have been on the power play....with the Rangers struggling mightly on the power play, I'd like to see Stralman get a chance on Wednesday at Florida as he has proven to be effective during his career with the man advantage....i know Torts wants Stralman to get a better understand...

Will Hagelin Be a Ranger This Season?

Having an outstanding beginning to his professional career, Carl Hagelin is becoming an offensive weapon for the CT Whale in the AHL. With Hagelin contributing in every way imaginable, the question of whether he breaks the Rangers roster this year deserves to be raised. With 12 points (7 goals) in 16 games and an outstanding +10 already, Hagelin is thriving on the ice.  He’s...

Quick Practice Notes

It is a bit of a slow day here in Rangerland, but there were some tidbits of information from practice to chat about, courtesy of Andrew Gross. First, Brandon Dubinsky and Brad Richards sat out of practice today. As per Gross, Dubinsky was sick and Richards required a maintenance day. These are common occurence, and shouldn’t really be a cause for alarm. Hockey players need days...

Rangers Embark on Tough Stretch

No one expected the Rangers to win-out the rest of the season. That’s just a silly thought. But during their seven-game winning streak, which was snapped when they put up a clunker against the Montreal Canadiens, the Rangers showed signs of regaining the form that has made them succeed in the past. When their streak [...]
