SAINT PAUL, Minn. The Minnesota Wild on Wednesday recalled forwards Cody Almond and Jeff Taffe from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. The team also reassigned forward Kris Foucault to the Aeros and placed Carson McMillan on injured reserve.
Almond, 22, has one goal in eight games with Minnesota this season. Taffe, 30, has two assists in three games with the Wild.
Foucault, 21, made his NHL debut with Minnesota Tuesday night night against Anaheim and played almost 9 minutes.
McMillan, 23, has three points in 11 games with the Wild this season.

TUESDAY'S STORY LINE: Kris Foucault, who was recalled from Houston yesterday, will make his NHL debut tonight. The 21-year old said it is a dream come true and joked he hopes he doesn't fall in his first shift.

With Zidlicky (0 goals, 13 assists, -7, 22 PIM) being a side distraction in the downfall of the Wild this season, it seems the headache would be dealt.
Darren Dreger of TSN started a buzz this morning when he tweeted out that Marek Zidlicky has agreed to waive his no-trade clause to come to New Jersey. Dreger noted that no deal was done as there was still some work to do; however, the sense many got from his tweet was that a deal was imminent. Ever since then, this story has been an absolute mess to follow and cover.

Ortmeyer, 33, has one assist in 10 games with the Wild this season. Almond, 22, has tallied one goal in nine games with Minnesota.
