CODY MCLEOD RUMORS & GOSSIP
So here we have Cody McLeod vs. Paul Gaustad last night in Nashville. Just another Tuesday night in January. It wasn’t a classic fight from either of the guys, but it was still a Tuesday night fight where McLeod was an inch away from breaking Gaustad’s nose with that right hook.
Meanwhile, I was sitting on the couch with my feet up on the coffee table, blanket on the legs...
Cody McLeod was lining up a huge check during Saturday’s game between the Avalanche and Lightning. As he sped in for a big hit, Mark Barberio stepped aside and McLeod flew over the boards and into Tampa Bay’s bench.
You can tell that there isn’t much of a rivalry between the Avs and Bolts by the fact McLeod was able to hop right back out of the bench without incident.
Patrick Roy has been channeling his inner Aaron Rodgers, telling everyone to relax, and that the time would come when the Colorado Avalanche will start to look like the same team that stormed the NHL in the 2013-2014 season.

He had their number in the playoffs last season, and to this point, Darcy Kuemper has had the Avs number again, notching 2 shutouts in back-to-back games

The Colorado Avalanche signed defensemen Brad Stuart to a two-year contract extension and forward Cody McLeod to a three-year contract extension Monday. “Cody has been an Avalanche his entire career,” said Avalanche executive vice president/general manager Joe Sakic. “He brings grit, energy and passion to the rink every single day. Boston Bruins center Gregory Campbell and Colorado Avalanche winger Cody McLeod dropped their gloves during Friday night’s game in Denver for a first-period fight.
Despite giving up two inches and about 20 pounds to McLeod, Campbell did very well for himself and landed several punches.
